I don’t think an IAS aspirant will derive any benefit from visiting Kerala other than some chance gains.
Maybe you will get a question in interview about places you have visited or about Human Development Indicators in India. In such a case, you might be able to spew your experience in Kerala.
But, unless you have a lot of time in your hands, you should be focussing on reading; not travelling to Kerala.
