While writing Mains are you able to recall all the points which you learned?

Yes and No.

For many questions, it was out of the box thinking that helped me. Imagine this:- Almost everyone would be attempting the question on women safety similarly. There are stock answers like better policing, legal reforms, blah blah. The examiner would be bored reading most of these answers.

I would first write down these conventional solutions. Towards the end I would write ideas like using drones for policing, facial recognition software for identifying offenders, Mobile Apps, Safety Kiosks at every corner with a response time of two minutes etc. Many of these ideas sounded like science fiction.

I imagine the examiner must have had a good laugh or considered my answers good.

My result tells me the latter must have been the case.
