Reading
- Magzter: This is my go-to place for magazines and newspapers. It is an excellent place to find almost all magazines of import
- Blinkist: I have the plus subscription which I have used very extensively.However, I am planning to discontinue it this year, to try out something new.
- Kindle Unlimited: Planning to discontinue as I have discovered that I prefer physical books more than the digital versions. The sense of ownership of a physical book also is prompting me to switch.
Multimedia
- Amazon Prime Video: Came along with Amazon Prime Account. However, their collection of videos is not up to the mark. Primarily used for consumption of Regional content
- Hotstar: Like Amazon Prime, hotstar too is not very good with their collection of videos. Primarily used for Regional content.
- Netflix: Miles ahead in terms of content compared to Amazon Prime and Hotstar. The interface also is much better.
Note Taking
- Evernote Premium: Evernote is my filing cabinet. Anything and everything I find of value goes into my Evernote account.
Hosting/Cloud
- Digital Ocean: This VPS account, I use primarily to test my programming hobbies/computer/development related stuff.
VPN
- Mullvad: I have been using Mullvad for quite sometime now and is satisfied with their services.
Shopping
- Amazon Prime
Music
- Saavn: The app and interface are sub par and I’m thinking of switching from this. If you know of any better service, do let me know in the comments.
TV
- Tata Sky HD: I have this connected to my projector set-up and home theatre.
All of these combined costs around 30k-40k per year in India.
