I always feel like sharing my son’s picture with everyone, but i would probably never do it.
I derive immense happiness out of seeing his face and feel like sharing his pictures with friends and family. But I’m very particular about privacy and believe that I should not share it until he is atleast big enough to understand what it would mean to have a digital identity.
For this reason, I have never shared his face on Facebook or other social media. If someone has taken his picture I specifically instruct them that they have no permission to share those pictures publicly, be it for whatever way they want to display their affection. I have been very vocal in this matter even to my mother and father and my wife.
It might sound paranoid, but I’d rather give him his space growing up.
