What does your room look like?

I currently stay in Vikramshila hostel in National Academy of Direct Taxes, undergoing training as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax. It is a spacious room which allows us to retire to our cozy, private quarters at the end of a tedious day.

In the beginning of our training we were accommodated in the hostel complex “Nalanda”, which is old. The rooms there are smaller, but comfortable.

I surround myself with things that I love which helps me be more productive. While staying away from home and family, it also keeps me motivated at the end of a tiring day.

Here are some pictures.

This is my home theatre set-up. I use a projector to watch multimedia, which gives me roughly 120″ size projection. The experience of watching movies and sports this way is amazing. Helps unwind at the end of a long, tedious day.

This is my bed and library. Being a hostel room, accommodating books here was a challenge given the space constraints. I couldn’t afford to not have a small library in my living space. So I went for these minimalist shelves, which are also vey aesthetically pleasing.

I prefer reading in the sofa and this is my leisurely reading space.

The NADT campus is pretty beautiful and staying here is a lot of fun.
