I was in 9th standard, I think. The term end examinations were due next week and my mother asked me to study instead of watching movies. I was visibly sad and went to my room pretending to study.
I had a desktop computer in my room, which had a CD drive. I had borrowed the CD of the movie Rocky from the nearby video library. I decided to watch that in my room without my mom knowing.
I plug in the head phones, and start watching the movie. Since it was very hot at the time, I’m sitting shirtless in my room. As the movie is about to end, the boxers are just in their shorts and fighting it out. Suddenly my mom opens the door to my room. I panic and reach for the mouse and close the window. The mouse was not optical but the rolling ball kind. The response of the mouse was bit slow and hence my mom catches a glimpse of the semi naked guy on screen.
My worst nightmare then came true. She thinks that I’m watching porn! And just stomp out from my room muttering something. I came out of the room and then she looks at me and asks me about it. I spend half an hour explaining that I was watching the movie which involved boxing and stuff. My mother just listens and tells me just to go and study for the exam.
To this day, I don’t know whether she believed me on this. I wanted to prove that I’m innocent and did score very high in the exams. In the end, this she achieved the goal she wanted :).
I was embarrassed about that incident for quite some time.
