During the first twelve months of your training, you experience of field formations are limited to the attachments that you have and visits that you undertake to some AG offices.
However, during the second year, when you will be going for On the Job training, you are very well exposed to various facets of the department ( both Audit and Accounts). It is very important that you choose a good office where you can learn very well the different aspects of the job during this time.
After the OJT period, you are sent on a one week international attachment to one of the Supreme Audit Institutions of a country with which our CAG enjoys a good relation and also which has the expertise to train the OTs well. The usual choice had been London, but the last batch had gone to South Africa. It is speculated that our batch will be going to Australia.
So, if I am to quantify the field exposure you get both nationally and internationally, I would say it is good enough to train you in all aspects of the job that you will be performing.
