How does it feel for women when they deliver a baby?

It is exhausting and energizing at the same time. My wife was so tired, and sleeping in her room. My son was taken to have lunch by her parents. He suddenly asks “ Where is Piku’s Amma?” Then he goes to her room and knocks on the door. When she says that she will have food a little later, his eyes well up. He cries and tells her parents “ Won’t my mother be hungry if only we have food? Won’t she be hungry?” Having children means you constantly see this innocence which influences you in more ways than you think.

My Son was playing with his toys while we were watching the election results. Through the entire time, he doesn’t pay attention to anything that happens in the TV. Finally when we switch off the TV, he lifts up his head and says “Rakul Kanthi”. Somehow, that word has caught his fancy. Throughout the day, he walks around the house saying out loud to himself, Rakul Kanthi. Having a baby is amazing because you get to see true learning first hand. It is amazing, the process by which they acquire knowledge. Like a sponge, they absorb everything.

I am at the airport with my son. I run behind him, I talk to him in false voice while everyone around me looks at me, I pick him up and play throw and catch, sit on the floor, act silly and do everything that I can’t do as an adult.

Having a child means bringing out the baby in you and gives you a second chance at living out your childhood again. It is like a talisman that you can have whenever you want to switch between being an adult and a baby.
