I am a civil servant with over eight years in the Indian Revenue Service, currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. My career has spanned some of the most dynamic and demanding roles in tax investigation, policy implementation, and administrative law—ranging from unearthing high-value tax evasions to ensuring compliance among charitable institutions and international asset holders. I started my stint with the Government of India, as an officer in the Indian Audit and Accounts Service in 2016.

Before joining the civil services, I worked at the intersection of technology and innovation—first as a Video Networking Engineer at Ittiam Systems, and earlier at Yahoo!, where I contributed to server load analytics during my internship. My technical roots continue to inform my approach to systemic thinking and problem-solving in government.

I hold degrees in Computer Science (B.Tech.), History (M.A.), Business Law (PGD), and am currently pursuing the Advanced Management Programme in Public Policy at the Indian School of Business. This blend of disciplines shapes my ongoing commitment to governance that is not just compliant, but conscientious.

Outside my professional life, I am a trained Indian classical musician. I play the bansuri (Hindustani flute) under the guidance of Shri Anil Kute and Shri Sunil Avachat, and the Carnatic saxophone under the mentorship of Shri Shivamogga K. Kumaraswamy. Music is more than a passion—it’s a parallel discipline that teaches me listening, patience, and grace.

I am also an avid collector of vintage artefacts, old watches, and stamps, with a deep personal interest in Indian history and cultural preservation.

Through this site, I share my work and thoughts across the pillars that define me—Public Policy, Taxation, Music, and Writing. Whether you’re here out of curiosity or collaboration, thank you for stopping by.
